Players can choose their first opponent from four options: Joe, Mary, Bob, and Franco. If they defeat the first four opponents, they will face Ryuji Yamazaki in a one-round plot-based match. After that, they will battle Mai, Andy, Hon-Fu, Sokaku, Terry, and Geese before facing Yamazaki again in a full match.
